In 2009, Meridian was founded to provide a solution to armed piracy off Somalia. Meridian began providing armed guards on merchant vessels as they transited off the coast of Somalia. In the years since, Meridian has grown into an international security company with a footprint on five continents. In 2020, Meridian decided to utilize its international relationships and unique licenses to began acquiring and importing ammunition into the United States for retail sale. Meridian imports its ammo for training of its personnel and sells the excess.
